Hello, Is there a legal precedent on the following issue: husband and wife divorcing after 20 years. Wife holds all the books and finances to the business. Husband is the labor in the business. Husband is petitioning to have wife removed and hire an independant bookkeeper/accountant to "protect" and maintain the integrity of the business income as it has been recently discoverd (by an outside court apointed accountant) that there is unacounted for money in excess of 300 thousand dollars over a 3 year period. And wife if refusing to provide 48 peices of information the court appointed accountant is requesting. Wifes attorney agrued in court today that the judge could not decide this petition based on no precedents, and claiming it was outside the boundaries of the judges authority to do so. Is this true? If there is a legal precedent, can you site them? Need Help. Sincerely, jalamm
