I dont know if this is where I need to post or not but....
I paid my insurance company by check at their office in Sept. 06 for my insurance with I have a receipt, they are now sending me letters saying that when they mailed the checks to their main office the checks were lost in the mail. I dont feel that is my fault, they sent me a letter today saying if I do not replace the check by the 11th of Dec. they will have no other option but to debit my account for the money. Can they do that? Is that fair? I paid and have a receipt. They said my account is in good standing but they need the check to update the account. I dont think it is fair that I have to fix their screw up. And can they just go into my bank account?
