My sister lives in Oklahoma. She filed for divorce and the temporary orders have been set. She lives only 10 miles from the Texas/Oklahoma border and wants to move to Texas. the town is only about 15 miles from where she resides now, but it is in Texas and she filed in Oklahoma. She has been told by her lawyer that she cannot move out of state until the divorce is final, is this true? Her ex has moved into a house next to hers, both homes are on his families land. She wants to get out and away from them all,but there are no other residences in this town to move to.. It is a very small farm community and the only real estate are homes to buy, but she has no intentions of staying in Oklahoma. She is wanting to move to the same town I live in that is about 15 miles from where she is now. Is there anything she can do?
