Hello,
I ama single mom of 2 boys 16 and 9 y/o. My childrens father recently died of a brain tumor. My husband and I were divorced, we had joint custody of the boys, they physically lived with me full time. My ex husband had a will which he appointed his sister as the executor. I was not listed on the will or estate at all. Supposedly life insuranced monies were left to my children in a trust fund, he left his sister in control of the trust for the children until they become of age. The children have not been informed of what has been left for them and were not invited to the probate hearing regarding the estate. I have no interest in obtaining anything from the estate but would like to know what has been left to the children. Do the children or I have a right to know the details of what was left to them and how it was setup. I was told I have no need to know and they will not involve me. can ytou help.
