i go to family court here in SC with my wife for divorce. we have an 8 year old daughter who currently lives with her. She has made it impossible for me to see her and i pay child support and send things and call her regularly. I haven't seen my daughter physically in 3 years because my ex has moved so much and purposely doesn't keep in contact with me. I just want my daughter to live with me and my current girlfriend and 2 kids to go to school here so she can do better in school as she is have a very difficult time in school with her mother. I want it to be joint as i want her mother in her life just as much as i want her in mine, but i want her to live here during the school year and visit her mom on the time off. how do i go in prepared for that? neither one of us can afford a lawyer but she would never come right now and agree to it either, she would do what ever it takes to make sure i dont' get anything but maybe a holiday. We go to court monday the 14th and i want to know if i should, when asked just outright say what i want which is the above or should i just agree to what she wants? and if i say what i want do i have to prove her an unfit mother? because i dont want to do that, i just want to request that my daughter be able to spend time with me and her sisters as i haven't seen her and she asks to come visit all the time
