My wife and I paid an attorney a fortune to establish a family trust, power of attorney, living will and our wills. Now, we are wanting to add assets to the existing family trust, and in addition, we want to appoint one of our children to be trustees having the same powers or say-so as me and my wife.
I am finding out that to make changes to my trust that the attorney is going to continue to charge me a fortune everytime that I want to change my trust.
That all being said, I am interested in learning how to do these changes myself, feeling assured that I really know what I am doing and don't question the changes that I am making. I also need to make sure that the changes I make are legally bound.
I need advice on how I can make those changes (where do I find the forms). I am also interested in any type of training, classes, seminars, ANYTHING that will make me feel like I know what I am doing. My ultimate goal is to be able to say that I know everything about a family trust.
Any and all assistance is greatly appreciated.
