I'm currently going through the process of splitting from my partner, we are not married and have a son of almost four. I'm very close to my son and he is all that really matters to me. My partner or ex i should say has problems with depression and drugs, with me gone the only support she will have is her parents one of which has a problem with alcohole. Im very worried that i have no rights and that without me there to keep an eye on things, he will suffer. What hope is there for me and my son to avoid this as the split has been hostile as it was something my partner didn't want.
