The property address on my mortgage is incorrect. It wasn't noticed at the closing my ourselves or our lawyer, but, when I did notice that it was wrong it was brought to the lenders attention but it was never corrected. I cant even begin to tell you how many times throughout the last 5 years, that I have written, called, and contacted them about this matter. At one point, 6 months ago, they sent me an address correction document to sign and have noterized to supposely fix it, which ofcourse I sent back, and followed up with, and was told that it was changed. But, yes, you guessed it!, It is still wrong.
Now I am ready to pay my mortgage off. But, I do not feel comfortable about paying it with an incorrect address. ( just so you understand what it wrong) the street address is correct, its the street number that is incorrect. It should be #147 and it's 164
I am being told that it is ok to pay it off the way it is with the numbers incorrect. This is why I am writing to you to ask for advice and opponions.
What do you think? Thanks :)
