I work as a paramedic for a private ambulance service. I have been working for this current service almost 3 years and at my current station about 2. Well my fiance works for a company that is currently our biggest competetor at this time. My partner and I had dinner 2 weeks ago with my fiance and his partner while we were both at work. We have never been told we could not communicate with them especially not since everyone at my station knows him and I are engaged and they all know where he works. Well since then I have been taken off the schedule. I have gone through all the chain of people that I have to talk to including my station manager, regional manager, and vice president of the company and no one has seemed able to give me an answer as to why I haven't been given my scheduled hours. Well now they are forcing me to transfer stations or get fired. Those are the choices. I do not feel they have any reason to force me to transfer against my will especially because I have not done anything wrong and if it was wrong to have dinner with them, then basically all they have to say is don't do it again and we wouldn't. Simple as that, but all they do is talk behind our backs and never give us a straight answer. Well how can they make me transfer if I am not willing to do that, and then if I don't how could they fire me for that? Any help?
