I have a 19-year-old son who is autistic. He receives survivors benefits from his late father. At the end of this month, he will be removed from my insurance because of his age. We live in PA and he is not eligible for Medical Assistance because of the amount he receives monthly. He currently takes medication for his anger issues (part of the autism diagnosis) that will cost $3000 without insurance. I am scared to death of what will become of him once he is off his medications. Is there anything I can do to get him insurance. He is unable to work and probably always will be.:(
I feel like crying. It is difficult enough raising a special needs child alone, but now the state is throwing him to the wolves. HELP!!
