We have been renting for almost 2 years in a complex that has gone down hill quickly. We have called the police, filed complaints with management regarding a number of things. There is no security and no groundsman to keep the area safe. We were going to be penalized for breaking our lease despite our pleas. We just wanted to leave. One of our gripes was that the playground is not well kept, and can be a hangout for underage drinkers. To make a long story short, our 2 yo fell in the sand at the playground while running to the swings. She sliced open her chin and required 7 stitches. She cut it on a broken glass. We reported it to management and she confirmed later that there was broken glass by the swings. Do we have a case?? We simply want our medical bills paid for and perhaps some compensation for the pain our little girl had to go through. It was something that no innocent child should have to go through..

Possible civil suit can be had against the management. Better confer with a suitable lawyer in your area.

Consult a lawyer in your area, in oder to give you real advice respecting your predicaments. I certainly understand the frustrating experience you are in, it would be wise to make the move in conferring with a lawyer so that the you can approximate the compensation you rightfully deserve.
