I have heard that with the subprime melt down banks are more willing to give loans for investment properties (or refinance) that are in an LLC than just in your own personal name. Is this true? I am trying to refinance an investment property in Arizona where the market has crashed. I owe $217 and it appraises for $240. I am in a neg am loan and NEED To get out it ASAP. I have excellent credit (780 score) but have been turned down by some banks because they wont do investment propeties that dont have at least 20% equity in them. If I transfer it to an LLC do you think I would have better luck with a refi?
