:confused: My husband is a car dealer for a car dealership in Missouri. I need a new car as mine is on it's last leg. We don't have a lot of money though and so we looked at all of the used cars at the lot he works at and also all the other lots that the owner of his lot owns. They had nothing within our price range and the one that was they wouldn't approve me for a loan on because they don't do loans on cars under $6,000. So, I found a car that I really liked at another dealership the was the perfect price for me. Somehow his boss found out that I was thinking of buying a car there. Later that day his boss called him into his office and told him that if he bought a car from another dealership that he would be fired. That made me very upset. My first question is, can his boss fire him for me buying a car in my own name (my husbands name would not be on the car or the loan or anything)? My second question is, could they fire him if his name was on the car and the loan with my name. I thought that was illegal to do. Any input from anyone would be great. Thank you! :confused:
