heath care for a legal immigrant

i have father who immigrated from Jordan to USA and is in need of chemotherapy. Has been here under 5 years, what can be done to get him health insurance/medicaid for his life prolonging treatments. If he goes back to Jordan he will be denied entry for coming to USA

Quick question...if I get a job offer with a hospital which will sponsor me for a green card do I then have to stay working with that hospital permanently??
