Hello:
I recently puschased a duplex 6 months ago in worcester, MA w/ 0% down. I was on the loan. I purchased almost all of the items in the house, from kitchen supplies to applicances to furniture. I have paid $1800 monthly payments up till now by myself. At that begining phase, I was in a relationship which was headed towards marriage. So, to show my sincereity (AKA stupidity), I put her and myself on the deed, just as she wanted. With time, I realized she was not the person who she claimed to be, so I broke off my engagement. Now, she won't let me sell the house, take it for herself or give her deed to me. She has not contributed more than few hundred dollars towards that property, now she claims thats her property as well. By the way, she is in the mortage industry.
Now I want to know is there anything I can do, such as quit claim, to either sell the property or transfer to someone else without affecting my credit. I cannot believe that at age of 27 I will be going through foreclosing. So, I would appreciate any advice besides not to be so naive again.
Thank you.
