My father died 3 weeks ago in another state. I am the only surviving relative to my father. His wife, my stepmother did not include me in anything concerning my dad. Do I have legal rights to his property or estate. She says there was no insurance policy. He told me 2 years ago that his policy was in my name. Do I have a legal right to anything. He owned his own home. Worked for 47 years same company. She went the day after the funeral and changed his name off the deed to the house and replaced it with hers. is this legal?
