Is it legal to search a passenger of a car without probable cause? My son who is of legal age to drink was passenger in a vehicle that was stopped because the driver squeeled his tires the driver was cited for drunk driving just above the legal limit his vehicle was searched nothing was found my son was a sleep in the passengerseat he was asked to get out of the vehicle and searched without probable cause. Is this legal?
