Can anyone offer advice on what to do in a situation when you believe you would have been included in a will as promised by the deceased yet the family say they found no will ?:confused: Is it possible the will could have been destroyed to avoid being upheld ?

Would it be possible to do some research with your state, or local government offices? Maybe with the county that your the deceased person passed away in.
Just a suggestion, in locating the will.

Thanks for your suggestion, I have already posted off a request today for a search of the records though I doubt it will come to anything. The gut feeling is any will would have been found and destroyed by the deceased family. If it was at all possible there had been a copy in the hands of a solicitor it would have come to light by now...wouldnt it ?

You're well, annie. I found this website, but it doesn't seem too helpful? Doesn't seem like the posts get too my replies, suggestions. I have free legal services really, but wanted to check on here before taking any action on my problem. Didn't want my gentlemen friend's family to get upset, but oh well.....have to do what I have to do. Take care, I wish you luck.
