I have a two year old daughter whose biological father is not listed on her birth certificate and has not had a relationship with her in 2 years. The first 6 months of her life he would call very rarely and ask to see her I would let her go with him to give him the benefit of the doubt; however, he slowly stopped calling to check on her. He got to where when he did call he would call at last minute and as stated before if we didn't have plans I would let her go with him.
My soon to be husband is the one who has been a daddy to her and is the only daddy she knows. He has also been financially taking care of her as well. He would like to adopt her after we get married and my question would be considering the biological father has not had anything to do with her nor is he on the birth certificate would adoption be possible without his consent?
