My exboyfriend moved out recently. We have lived together for 2 years. He says he is taking me to small claims court for a loan he received. It was for $5000. He wants me to pay for the loan. I have 3 children at home, and he is taking me to court. He has used my credit card--he was an authorized user, and he thinks that is ok. Does he have any basis for taking me to court? The loan was for household items....I had over 10,000 in my bank account before he applied for this loan. I really don't think that I should have to pay for his loan. I think maybe I should give him some money, but he is asking for a lot. I cannot afford to pay 5,000 when I am a single mom of 3 children. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know????:confused:
