Any help would be greatly appreciated. so the story is my girlfriend who is a U.S citizen cannot bring her son into the U.S because of the fact that she gave birth to him in mexico. She went to mexico to visit family last year while she was pregnant. well, she ended up getting extremely ill & was anemic, so she had to be hospitilized for many weeks. She was not allowed to travel because of her sickness thus she gave birth to her son in mexico. Fortunately he was healthy & she was as well. Now we have been trying to bring him over but we have had no luck. He is not my biological son. The father of her son lives in a city in mexico & is not a U.S citizen. What can we do to bring him to live in U.S? This makes no sense considering me & my girlfriend are american citizens. what process should we go through? please, anyone with any information in this extremely urgent matter please respond. thanks.

Seems you haven't received an answer no_limit_180? Your post was in June so maybe an update for us readers/posters would be good.
Cheers. Sam

my honey just heard about this with her midwife but as she is on Spouse visa ie subject to immigration control she cannot claim., gggggggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, would have been nice little extra. By the way should she be claiming free prescriptions?

This may not be the ideal answer, however if your girlfriend married a US Citizen she would then be classed as a US Citizen herself after the marriage. Perhaps then she may me legible to bring her son over as she is his guardian and therefore apply to make him a US Citizen.

I am definitely no expert so i'm sure the process is a lot more complicated than this.

If not, have you considered moving to Mexico? This would solve the problem providing you could find a home and jobs for the 2 of you.
