I was pulled over for driving on a suspended license from a prior DUI w/ no registration on my car. They took my car and I have a court date soon. I had an appointment with the DMV the NEXT DAY when I was pulled over to get both of those back because I was finally eligible. I was supposed to get it back the day before I was pulled over for a cracked tail light, but the DUI school forgot to send the completion notice to the DMV. Well the day after they took my car and gave me the court date I actually went to the DMV, got my license and my registration for the car. It seems I can contest this...should I plead not guilty and explain...or does the raw fact that I didn't have the license or registration hours before mean that I'm guilty and have to go through countless legal trouble once again :confused: I live in the bay area in California, I'm 21 and a full time college student with extreme apathy for the law and my situation...Any advice would be appreciated.
