while my husband and i were eating at a local restaurant our car was hit by a truck belonging to an employee of the restaurant. The employee was in a hurry and jumped out of his truck and it rolled into our vehicle. When my husband went out to deal with this situation, the employee said that if we would not call the police and would bring him an estimate of damages to repair our vehicle that he would pay for it out of his pocket. my husband went along with it assuming that because the boy worked at the restaurant and was the son of the restaurant owner's girlfriend that he would do as he said he would. we got the estimate and took it to the boy and he said that it would take him a little while to get the money together. we said that was okay. later when i was at the restaurant with a friend the boy told me he wanted us to take our car to someone he chose to fix it. my husband would not agree to this saying that was not the agreement and the boy refuses to pay. what can we do?
