Please for the love of God, someone please tell me what I can do
A company called CompuCredit has been calling my phone number at least three times a day for the last two months from 8am-9pm, and waking up myself and my two year old son, for someone who does not and has not lived in my house. The person they are trying to hunt down may have had the same phone number as me at one point because i just got this phone line 6 months ago.
I told them several times that he does not and has not lived in my home EVER and they still ask dumb questions like "Do you know another phone number where i can reach him?"
I even threatened them by saying if they call again i will contact a lawyer and sue them for harassment. Which did not work.
I am getting very very angry with this company. And i don't know if i should get a lawyer or if there is another way to get them to stop calling. I have thought about changing my phone number, but I want them to get fined or sue them for harassment before i do so. Any information would be greatly appeciated.
Thank you,
Steve
