Ok here is the short version. Last year I did a checkless payday loan (stupid) and I was able to pay the 1st payment on it. Before the 2nd payment came due my husband lost his job and my company was sold which changed everything. I was unable to pay. They called me quite a few times and I tried to explain that I did not have the money but would happily make payments but they sad no, either the whole thing or nothing. Now it has gone to their legal department and a very rude man called me today and basically called me a dead beat. I tried to explain to him that I wanted to pay it but could not pay the whole thing right now. He said he had my credit report for the last 10 years and that he could tell what kind of person I was and that I did this all the time (I don't). I tried to explain to him that I had filed bankruptcy and he had the nerve to say that I sounded happy about that (I am not, we had a fire and lost everything we owned with no insurance - it was arson and I lost 2 animals and almost my life).. he had me talk to someone else that was just as rude as him and they both hung up on me. I tried calling back to talk to him to find out what was going on because he said they were sending someone to my job to take a deposition tomorrow at 10 am.. he then hung up on me again after saying all kinds of horrible things about me and what type of person I was. Finally I called back and tried to talk to someone else and they put me back to him.. he told me that I could not call there anymore and that I was put on notice not to call them.. HELP. I want to pay this and I have never encountered anything like this before.. he won't even talk to me unless I have 1/2 the money I owe them.
