In New Jersey, Highway 78 E, on 09/05/2007 I was driving to work . As usual in the morning it was a traffic that made me to slow down and come to a full stop. I was in the middle lane, last car. As every good driver I have a habbit of checking the mirrors. And I saw tractor-trailer at full speed was getting realy close to me. I didn't have a time to get out and run away from the car, therefore I kept seatbelt on, put my feet up on the seat, put my head down to my knees and closed my eyes. I could tell i hit few cars and finally car stopped. I've opened my eyes and paniced while it was smokey, i couldn't feel my left side of body and couldn't open the door because machine was sitting on top of my car which was crumpled to the highway devider concrete wall. My car is tottaled and because it was financed insurance company paid it off but never replaced...
It's been 11 months since then and I have constant pain in back and neck areas, 2 hurniated and 4 buljed discs, and I'm getting intensive treatment at chiropractor and orthopedist (which requires spinal shuts every other week). I also have a mental trauma, I'm still afraid of driving on highway, and also have a nightmares.
To make a point of my short story the question is that what do you think how much should a settlement woth by now?
