My sister in law has a mortgage that she has paid along with her grandparents who have now both died leaving just my sister in law and her 8 year old child in the house. The daughter to the grandparents has had a key to the property whilst her parents were alive, as they have now passed away my sister in law has asked for the keys back. The daughter has refused saying that she has spoken to a solicitor and found that she has the legal right to keep the keys untill she has taken the contents. Is this correct? Does my sister in law have the right to refuse her entry? There was no will written. Can she call the police if this woman enters the property?
