I received a notice of filing of a judgment entered apparently against me in may 2005 in mongomery al. It is a notice to be filed in okaloosa county florida against me and my ex husband. It says I have 30 days to contest the jurisdiction of the court which entered the foreign judgment and record a lis pendens directed toward the judgement in the manner set forth in Florida statues 55.509. I was unaware of judgement in other state and want to contest this one. What is the procedure or forms I can use and where can I find them? We sold that house owner financing in 1998 left moved to Florida and then divorced. House went to bank in 1999 or 2000. Not sure what happened after that. I thought my ex handled it.
