Not sure if this is the right place, sorry if not.
I committed a crime and I know it, please don't flame.
Okay, today in Phx, AZ I stole a basket full of cat food from food city. Sounds strange, but I have 13 cats and it gets pricey, it's NO excuse I know.
So the clerk chased me out and ripped my license plate right off the car. I drove home and 15 minutes later get a call from the PD telling me my vehicle was involved in a crime.
They came over, took the cat food, got my whole story and issued me a ticket w/ court date.
I have never been arrested or charged w/ anything before. My question is, what are the possibilities I could get jail time? The idea of a cell terrifies me. (I know I made my bed, time to sleep in it).
The officers who were very nice, told me there is a 1% chance of jail, probably probation or a class of some kind as well as fee's of course.
But I know it comes down to the judge.
So what are your opinions?
