Hi I'm from Indiana. my husband traded a motorcycle for a truck to a guy. The guy took the motorcycle said he'd bring the title back for the truck and my husband could go pick up the truck. He had a wreck on the bike, he called and said he'd bring by the title. 2 weeks later we called the police, they talked to him he said he'd take care of it asap. A few days later he finally brought us the title and a set of keys, his dad was hiding the truck. We finally found out where the truck was, it was in the next town. We called the police and told them that we were going to take possession, I dropped my husband off he jumped in the truck and I stopped a couple of miles down the road to make sure he was coming. As he drove by I realized there were 2 vehicles chasing him on a 2 lane highway, I called 911 and told the county what was going on. My husband got into our home town, stopped at a stoplight and the 2nd vehicle chasing went around the first into oncoming traffic and slammed into the driver side of the truck, my husband swerved into the ditch and drove straight to the police station. The truck and the other vehicle then headed home because they'd seriously hurt their truck. Unfortunately since we had just taken possession of the truck we didn't have insurance on it. They had insurance on their truck though, their insurance company sent us a letter stating we swerved into their truck But all of our damage is from the door back and it happened on a road where they had to be in oncoming traffic to cause the wreck. We've called their insurance company but they won't return our calls. My husband still has back pain and the damage to the truck will cost more to fix than it's worth. Is there anything we can do? Thanks.
