I was recently let go after 6 months working in a salaried position with a guaranteed "X" amount commission for up to one year. I also have one week paid Vac. remaining. There is no suggestion of severance or offer to give the guaranteed commission remaining. I was just dropped flat with the only explanation by phone that the decision was made by the owner based on economy and not the performance I had been giving. Come to find out all the individuals that the VP fired before my entrance to the company were hired back. My former VP was handed his pink slip 3 months ago. The 4 of us cut were the only ones outside the company that the owner did not know. Any advise or suggestions would help.
