I hope someone can help asap!

My boyfriend has been charged with sexual assault of his step-daughter from seven years ago. There is no evidence only people saying that he did this and that. I do not want to see him go to jail because I believe that this is his x-wife creating a problem. when he told her it was over she threatened she would hurt him.

He has a public defender and no one will talk to me about what I know. Does anyone know how I can help my boyfriend? is there anyone that knows what my boyfriend could be looking at if he is convicted? These are questions I tried to get the public defenders office to answer but they wouldn't help. They told me they don't do that. what can I do I have never been involved in something like this before?

If there is no evidence, then you should not worry at all. Judgment is based on evidence and the law. Without the evidence, there will be no conviction.

You can help your boyfriend morally and emotionally. Besides that, there's really nothing you can do. You can't force the public defender to take you to witness stand. What you will about to say is just your words anyway. And that would consist another 'they said-you said' charade.

Let the pd's do their job. I'm sure there is someone out there who can readily offer their opinion on how long your boyfriend will be in prison in case he gets the conviction. In any case, knowing it before hand will not make any difference. Good luck!

If there is no evidence let it go. Even if he has a ****ty *** PD, the law will take care of it at his prelimanary hearing.
