I am being sued for writings I posted on the internet. It's a long story and you can find the details at my website (message me).
I don't have a lot of money and have been unable to interest a lawyer in representilng me, so apparrently I have to go it alone. Besides the truth being my clearest defense, the writings I am being sued for were posted from 1997 through 2004. I understand California law (CCP337) allows up to 3 years to sue for LIBEL. I also understand the clock starts ticking when the complainant has direct knowledge of said writings; he acknowledged my postings by having a lawyer send me a pre-suit letter back in 2004, but then decided to not follow up on it. To make things even more interesting, my primary witness died last year, and within only a few months the complainant then decided to file suit.
I believe I want to execute a motion to dismiss and/or ask for summary judgment, but I am not versed in such things and need help.
Any comments? Help? I want to put this scumbag out of business - he makes his living off of others who fall under his charismatic spell posing as a constitutional expert. More info available in private messages ..
