Settlling Debt with your employer

I work for a large bank. I have approx 35k in debt with them on credit cards. If I go to a debt settlement company and settle this debt can I be fired for this? Can they attach my wages for repayment?

Being fired is such a severe consequence. The fact that you want to settle your account shows your good faith. With respect to attaching your salary, i don't think they can do that. The least they can do is to ask for an arrangement on how you can pay your credit card debt.
