I am a single parent and I got my neighbour to do work in my home as he had his own business I trusted him....... He took walls aways etc but never put down a damp proof membrane on the floor>.>> I had my whole living room floors damp and my wooden floor ruined I woukd have to get the whole floor and hall dug up and replaced which costs 2,500 and then new flooring 500pounds..... In the end I took him to small claims court in belfast, I got awarded my decree for 2,100 in aug 2008!!!!! I havent to this day received a penny of this money he did want to pay me
