My mother who is 72 years old has been receiving harassing phone calls from Sears whereby they are threatening to take my mother to court with the possibility of taking her house if she does not pay nearly $4,000.00 by March 27th.
She primarily used to card to buy her medicine but can no longer use the card because they cancelled it but she was making monthly payments.
This sounds a little extreme. I am sure the courts would be full of people who have found themselves in the same situation and many houses would be lost by people with credit cards they can no longer pay.
Can they do this?
