residency and oversea job!

I have won the American lottery (DV lottery) and I will be leaving my country to go to US in two months. At the moment I am working for an American company (KBR) in Afghanistan. What should I do to keep my job and also my residence in US? Can I travel with a stamped passport without loosing residency? Every four months I have my R&R and I can go to US for two weeks (every time). My sister who is a naturalized US citizen can mail my green card after she receives it. I am 36 years old and my family will be living in US during the time I will be working for this company.
Please give any advice!
