Nephews boss is also Nieces landlord...Big problem

My nephew just came in to tell me his boss wants to fire him b/c my niece isn't paying her rent(Niece is my nephews sister)The boss told him he is not paying him ,he is going to put it toward his sisters rent.How can he do that?:eek:

No the employer can just do that. Your nephew and the niece are two separate and distinct individuals.

The nephew could not be made liable for the niece's fault. The nephew's work/salary could not be offset with the niece's arrears.
