Cashing a check made out to my company name thatt i do not have an account for

I installed a phone for a company (side work) and charged them with a bill and i asked for it to be made in my name but they made it out to the company name "j&j telcoms". I do not have a business account. I do not want to ask for the customer to issue a new one. Can I make an account in the company name and cash the check with out paying any fee's ?

*In other word just go to local bank make a checking account under my business name and deposit the check and is this legal ?"
