I was driving with my friends with my permit and I was the only one with any type of liscence. It was my friends mothers jeep, we had been driving it with no insurance or tags because her mother got deported to mexico. Then an animal ran in the road, I panicked, and swerved, accelerated and we wound up in the ditch. I wanted to leave and call a ride but the girl in the backseat called the police because she said her arm hurt really bad. i begged her for us to just go and we would take her later. She said she'd tell them she was driving, that she didn't care as long as she got help, and she didn't have a seatbelt on so ultimately she did break it. We all had to go in the ambulance being under 18. She said she was driving since we wanted to leave. when we got to the hospital she told the officer that I was driving and when he came and asked I told him I was. we were all given a courtdate. she got driving without liscence, improper seatbelt, and running a stop sign , and lying to an officer, i got improper seatbelt also because i put the strap behind me, and lying to the police officer but i told him i wwas driving why didn't he charge me with that too and the stop sigh (which wasn't intentional) accidents happen and it wouldv'e happened even if i had had my L's. the other girl got lying to an officer because first she said the other girl was driving because thats what the other girl was saying too then she said i was n back and forth. But i was driving. What will happen? it isn't on my ticket but idk the court date is wednesday. What do you think i should do and what will happen?
