Hi.
My job placed me on suspension after an accusation of harassment was reported to them by one of our former clients.I originally met the client back in March while I was handling and issue for her over the phone. We kind of got into a friendly conversation and she told me that she assisted 1st time business owners in setting up business plans as well as Tax IDs for Federal and State.I am looking to open a recording studio which has no conflict of interest whatsoever with my job. During the call, the client flirted with me and gave me her personal cell phone number and told me to call her.I called her and she offered to take me to lunch the following Saturday,I agreed to it.We kind of talked on a personal level and one day we got into an argument and we stopped talking after that. The day she called me was on April 8th and I had not talked to this client since. On May 8th, I received a phone call from a number that was not saved to my phone, and I didn't answer the call because I was on my work phone. Then 10-15 minutes later I get called into my manager's office and she tells me that I am being suspended for harassment pending investigation. As soon as I left work I called the phone number back and no one answered. I left a voicemail asking the person to return the phone call. Soon after that I decided to send a text message asking who the person was. They gave me a fake name and then I asked where I knew them from, they said that they had the wrong number. I looked through my old cell phone this past Tuesday and I remembered the last time I talked to the person, she called on April 8th and it was from the same cell phone number that called me right before my suspension. She lied and said that she was someone else after the fact. I'm not sure what to do now, can someone help me?
