My previous employer used a password logger ( a device that holds all passwords) and installed into my work computer. He did this without my knowledge and then viewed all my personal information ie: email accounts/banking info/ebay account etc.... I am curious if he has or had the right to do this?
Thanks in advance.

Its a "work" computer! This means the employer owns it not you. If you foolishly placed personal info on there its not your employers problem. This question is asked about once a month. Sorry next time dont use work computers for personal use!

He owns the computer and pays for internet connection its his. Besides you should not be storing personal data on a work computer

I understand now Thanks. I found out about this 3 months after I had left and I know after I left now that he was still reading my email and looking at my personal stuff does he still have that right?

Anything on a "work" computer belongs to the employer so yes. You might change your password so he can no longer access your email
