I am a disabled vetean ad I was recently laid off from my job. I'm just curious if what happened to me is legal. I was one of four supervisors and of the four i was ranked third in time with the company and first with time in current position wit the company. I was laid off and when I asked why or how i was chossen out of the four of us I was told that the junior man was over 40 so he was protected from being laid off. I worked for this comapny for three years and had all above average reveiws. can somebody tell me if what happened to me is legal. I am a service connected disabled vet with a disability rating of 50%. the coompany is not a government agency nor do i know of them having any government cotracts although it could be possible.
