A judgment was entered against me in Dec 2008 & I now have a contempt of court order for alleged lack of cooperation in providing information to the plaintiff's attorney. If I appeal the contempt order, does the appeal process "stop the clock" on the payment process? If so, can the appeal include what might be construed as either bias or negligence on the part of the judge that issued both the judgment ruling and the contempt order?
