:confused:In the state of Kentucky the age of majority is 18. However if a minor runs away 3 months before turning age of majority, can they be forced to return to their legal guardian? Other than trying to obtain emancipation after runnig away, under what guidelines can the minor stay out of their legal guardian's custody? If the minor does not want to return to their guardian, can they stay elsewhere as long as they are going to school, supporting themselves or being supported by another capable adult, and are not in any danger? Also, based on similar cases of other from recent history, is it likely officials will actually take the minor into custody and make them return to their guardian?
