I will try to make this short with just the facts.
I was divorced in 2002 in the state of Florida.
As of November 2008 my ex decided to stop paying alimony.
In December he filed against me because of a new law about co-habitation. But put a hold on it since he DOES NOT want to battle in court.
At the time of our divorce he knew I had a new partner and our legal counsel had anything about co-habitation removed from our contract.
My questions
Since I was Divorced prior to the new law, am I let's say Grandfathered.
If I am in the wrong, Does my ex have the right to just stop paying, or is it up to a judges ruling. And when would he have the right to stop. When he filed? When the law came out? When a judge makes his ruling?
Please advise and any help you can give is helpful.
He has put me in such a finantial mess I need help.
