workplace bully

My 17yr old son Jake works checkout for Sainsbury's in uk. He works part-time 4-6hrs a day Fri-Mon. They have told him that all annual holiday has been taken this year and there is nothing he can do. They seem to be blaming him as applying too late! He tried numerous times but was told to come back. He has also asked on three seperate occasions for time off this coming weekend. They have since informed him that they didn't know and therefor he can't take the time. His supervisor seems to have a grudge against him and has asked him to pluck his eyebrows as they make him look angry and unapproachable. He has been in the work-place for total of 11months and they are running rings around him. :mad:They are using his teenage in-eloquence against him. I feel they are abusing him. I feel he needs a spokes person {me!} but that would surely rub them up the wrong way? Are'nt they rotters?
My husband {Jakes Father} wants to take him camping this weekend as they need to re-bond. Should we push it? Please help?
