My husband took his boat into Johnny Outboards to get the lower unit fixed about 3 months ago. When we got his boat back after taking it out 2 times he noticed something was still wrong. He called Johnny's and they told him to bring it back in. He dropped it off earlier this week. They called him last night and said that they checked their work and that nothing seems to be wrong. My husband informed him that it may be the spark plugs so please check it. He received a call this morning saying his boat was completed. He went to get his boat and they gave him a bill for $315 for work that they completed. Not one time during all of this did Johnny's Outboard call and give my husband a quote, give him a written quote or even call to get authorization. How can a business do work on his boat without getting permission first? He wants to get his boat back. What can he do?
