I am a 1/2 owner of a small commercial building. The other half was recently deeded to my brother's heirs. The heirs filed a partition in circuit court to have the building auctioned. My attorney, bless his heart, never contacted me to appear in court nor called me on the status of the partition. The only way I found out about it was someone called me to tell about the auction which has been published in the local paper. This attorney will not return calls or faxes. Other attorneys will not take the case. I suppose it is due to the small town politics and the length of time this has been in the court, also he will not release me as his client. What can I do at this late date?

You can try to buy out the other party. You can try to petition the court for removal of your attorney if he is not returning calls etc. Why can't you fire your attorney? More info needed.

Good Luck!
