My daughter is 16 years old. She just turned 16 in December. We live in New York State. New York State law says that a child cannot "drop out" and is responsible for the remainder of the school year after they turn 16. Here is my question: She plans on getting married in two weeks. She is pregnant. After she is married, does she still have to complete the school year. I understand the moral implications, this is not my concern. My only concern is the legality of the issue.
